Measuring the shaft, or stick length starts at the tip of the stick down to the base of the handle.

The tip of the stick is where the bow or arc of the braided lash is.

To measure the lash length, measure from the tip if the stick down to the “eye”of the braided lash.

The eye at the end of the lash is the small loop where the leather popper attaches.
